My beautiful baby girl entered the world on August 31, 2003 at 4:46 pm.
She weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz. and measured 20.5 inches long.
It was the single most beautiful day of my life!

I know... I'm a bad, bad Daddy. It's been a while sine I updated this page. What can I tell you?... Life gets away from me sometimes.

So, it's been 8 months since I last updated you. Of course, a lot has changed. Catie is nearly three years old and is developing quite a personality! She's cuter than ever.

Catie loves to sing and dance. She still likes to sing her "ABC's" & "Twinkle, Twinkle" but now she's added "The Hokey-Pokey", the days of the week sung to the tune of "Oh My Darlin' Clemintine", "You Are My Sunshine" (I've been singing this to her at bedtime since she was a little baby) and various TV theme songs from "Dora The Explorer" to "Pinky Dinky Do", just to name a few.

Catie loves TV (go figure). Her favorite shows are "Dora...", "Pinky Dinky Do", "Lazy Town", "Angelina Ballerina", "Between the Lions", "Jack's Big Music Show", "Thomas the Tank Engine" and "Caiou". She enjoys movies too. Her current favorites are "Chicken Run", "A Bug's Life" and "Madagascar". Thankfully, "Finding Nemo" has fallen out of rotation for now. Daddy was getting very tired of that movie.

Reading is still very popular, especially at bedtime. Catie's current favorite books are: "Princess Wishes", "What I Like About Me" by Allia Zobel - Nolan and Miki Sakamoto and "Papa, Please Get The Moon For Me" by Eric Carle. Lately, "Pat the Bunny" as made it back into rotation. Catie loves pop-up books. We just picked up "Pop-up Safari Adventure" by Nick Denchfield & Anne Sharpe. This is epically great because Catie loves animals.

Catie's favorite thing to do in her spare time is visit a playground. This summer we are embarking on The Great Playground Tour of 2006. Check out Catie's photo albums for pictures.

It's been quite a while since I updated this page. Catie continues to amaze me with every passing day.

Her vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. Her favorite questions is "what's that, daddy?". Catie can count to 13, then she usually skips ahead to 18. And, she can sing the entire alphabet. (Did you ever notice that the melody to the alphabet song & "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" are the same? I didn't until I had a child.)

Catie's current favorite toy is just about anything she can push. Gammy & Pepop bought her a stroller for her baby doll. This is, by far, her favorite. She and Pepop take her baby doll for walks to Wawa for coffee whenever she is down the shore. Running a very close second is the Dirt Devil vacuum that Aunts Dana & Joann gave her for her birthday.

Catie's taste in food is getting a little more picky. However, Eggo blueberry waffles always work for breakfast. PB&J usually works for lunch. And, Stouffer's Macaroni & Cheese is always a dinner time favorite. Fruit, raisins, peanut butter Ritz Bitz, baby carrots or Cheerios always make for a good snack.

Music is still a favorite past time. Catie is particularly fond of Laurie Berkner. She sings along with "Bumble Bee (Buzz-Buzz)" and knows all of the animal noises in "Pig on Her Head". Catie's current favorite book is If You Give a Pig a Pancake by Laura Numeroff (of course, to Catie it is simply "Pig Pancake").

Catie is walking and talking. She loves to dance, climb stairs, spin in circles, bounce in Daddy's lap and hang upside-down.

Catie has a strong vocabulary. Of course she says: "Mama" and "Dada". Her first word was "ball". She can identify the parts of your face: "eye", "eye lash", "ear", "nose", "hair". She call dogs "woof-woof" and even tries to say "toothbrush". She says "uh-oh" when she drops something and, of course, she's also learned "no".

Her favorite foods are: "peas", "cheese" and "yo-e-oh" (yogurt). And, of course, she has to wash it down with "juice". Catie is very polite. She says "shhhh" when it's time to be quite and says "please" (of course, it kind of sounds like "peas") and "thank you" (which sounds like "dat-do"). She says "hi" (to just about anything or anyone). She can identify a "balloon" or a "bubble" and knows what "hot" means.

Her favorite toys are Daddy's cell phone and remote controls. She also likes the little ride on car her grandparent's gave her for Christmas and her balls. Her favorite plush toy is her teddy bear. She also loves any plush toy that looks like a cat or a dog.

Catie loves music, books and television. She's a big fan of Veggie Tales, Sesame Street and Dr. Seuss. Her favorite bedtime book lately has been "Papa, Please Get The Moon For Me" by Eric Carle. She's also a big fan of "Pat the Bunny" by Dorothy Kunhardt, "Touch & Feel: Kitten" (she loves the "Touch & Feel" books!) and "Goodnight Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown. He favorite Dr. Seuss is "Green Eggs and Ham" (just like Daddy).

Catie's a very good eater. Her favorite foods are: oatmeal (with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg & clove), cheese omelets, grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, macaroni & cheese, chicken nuggets, tater-tots, french fries, orzo with parmesan, peas, sweet potatoes, mandarin oranges, pineapple and grapes. She likes chocolate (though, she does not get a lot of it), ginger snaps, graham crackers and biter biscuits.
